Mastodon Canada will take a downtime starting at 9PM MST on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

This downtime is expected to last four to five hours to complete critical monthly updates and maintenance.

In addition to this, the following upgrades (but not limited to) will be attempted during this time:
- Instance-wide LibraTranslate and ElasticSearch implementation
- StatsD backhaul to our internal Grafana server for advanced monitoring and troubleshooting
- Creation of new gold-master VM snapshots with reduced disk space requirements
